It Started With a Calling
Long before over-the-counter hearing aids were even a concept, Marvin Posey was already dedicating his life to helping people hear. Beginning in the 1940s, Marvin spent decades working hands-on with the hearing-impaired community - learning what people truly needed, understanding the barriers they faced, and quietly building a legacy rooted in compassion and care.
For Marvin, hearing health was never just a business. It was a calling. And it was one he passed down to his family.
A Family Mission Takes Root
Marvin's daughter, Kim Moore, grew up immersed in the world of hearing health. Together with her husband Mark Moore, Kim carried the family's commitment forward - continuing to serve people with hearing loss and expanding the reach of what her father had built.
They also saw what stood in the way. Too often, the people who needed hearing help the most - older adults on fixed incomes, families watching tight budgets - were priced out of the solutions that existed. The technology was there. The need was overwhelming. But the cost was a wall that far too many people couldn't climb.
"We knew things could be better when it comes to hearing aids. So we made our own."
The Third Generation Builds the Solution
That's where Matthew Moore came in. Kim and Mark's son - and Marvin's grandson - Matthew grew up understanding the problem from the inside out. As Co-Founder and President of OTCHealth Inc., Matthew set out to build a different kind of hearing health company - one with the credibility of an 80-year family legacy and the determination to make truly great hearing solutions available to everyone.
The result was the official home of two beloved brands: HearingAssist and iHEAR. Both were built with a clear guiding principle: no one should go without hearing because of cost.

The Moore family has spent more than 80 years proving that it doesn't have to be that way.
